Lyra 'The Lyre (or Harp)' - from ancient Greeks. Represents the musical instrument invented by the god Hermes.
Used by the mortal Orpheus in his journey to Hades (the underworld), to rescue his wife, the beautiful nymph Eurydice.
Home of the bright star 'Vega', and the popular deep-sky object, M57, the 'Ring Nebula'.
